LOVING DURING A STORM: A POEM

Man was a child,
A child was a man,
Life was slipping by,
Listening to the radio,
Just waiting for a friend,
Just waiting for the end.

Waiting in the rain,
Waiting for an emotion,
Feeling no pain,
Dancing in the madness,
Life is just there,
A common plan,
Waiting for the devil,
While the train is late.
Fancy cars,
Ain’t that much of a thang,
Loving during a storm,
Is where it’s at.
