A Look Back – A Poem dedicated to Mankind

Angry young men,
Wandering the back alley cribs,
Looking for a fix,
Against those realms of humanity,
Blissfully unaware,
Of them dying.

Old wise men,
Weathered by a thousand rains,
Sit,
On those abandoned tracks,
Talking sweetly of long gone ages,
Fogged away by time,
Distance removed,
They wish they could part the waves,
To live that day,
again.

Life becomes,
That misery,
That place,
To hover there,
Freely,
To see,
Where the world began,
To hear that first song,
Alive,
Oh my friend,
Dearly there,
Can we care?
Can we care?

The night winds howl,
Those men,
Standing there,
Trying to find that breathe,
That first hit,
To catch not the dragon,
To dare not see,
What they have become.
